2011 marks the band's 25th Anniversary. In celebration of this huge milestone, the band will be performing three very special shows: Two at the Classic Center in Athens, GA, February 10th & 11th, and One at the legendary Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA, February 14th!

Performing the Athens shows holds an extra special significance, as The Classic Center sits on the site of the former Mad Hatter Ballroom, where the band played its first official show February 6th, 1986. The Fox Theatre in Atlanta has been and continues to be site to many memorable Widespread Panic shows.

Tickets for all three shows go on sale this Saturday January 8th. Full ticket and show details found here. We hope you can join us in the celebration.

The 12th Annual Hannah's Buddies event will be held January 21st & 22nd, 2011 at Grand Cypress Golf Club and The House of Blues in Orlando, FL.

Hello Travelers,
Our thanks goes out to all of the participants and volunteers joining forces in Orlando for this year's upcoming 12th annual Hannah's Buddies Charity Ball, silent auction, and golf "tournament." Thanks also to those donating items for the auction. Some of these can be previewed [here] along with written descriptions of other kind donations for this event.

Two things we need to mention: Registration for the golf is full, but a reduced donation of $125 dollars will allow those shut out of the golf to participate in the silent auction (concert ticket included). Also, if you have a last minute item you have been meaning to donate for the auction, we need to receive it by Tues., Jan. 18th at this address: Hannah's Buddies c/o The Elliotts / 719 S. Orleans Ave. / Tampa, FL 33606. Please include a suggested value/starting bid so we can honor your donation appropriately.

Spring Tour 2011 :: Widespread Panic News

Join the band as they hit the road this April, returning to some of the fan-favorite venues from over the years.

Spring tour kicks off with two nights at the intimate Palace Theatre in Louisville, KY, where the band has not performed since 2007. Panic will also be returning to Asheville, NC for the first time in over two years to play at the Civic Center with special guests JJ Grey & Mofro. Finally, the biggest news for longtime Panic fans is the announcement of the tour-closing two nights at the Oak Mountain Amphitheater outside of Birmingham, AL where the band has not performed since 2002! The Charlie Daniels Band and Big Gigantic will open this shows on April 15th & 16th, respectively. For a full list of tour dates, visit On Tour.

Fall Tour 2010 Recap! :: Widespread Panic News

This year's Fall Tour spanned six weeks and over 10,000 miles of road with many memorable live moments made along the way! This included some stellar multiple-night runs in cities like Atlanta, Milwaukee, Nashville, and Oakland, as well some noteworthy on-stage guest sit-ins including Bobby Lee Rodgers, Karl Denson, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Charlie Daniels, and Dr. John.

Panic fans helped to raise 2,000 pounds of food and more than $7,500 in donations to feed communities all over the country! The Feeding People Through Music campaign continues to be a great success and the band is excited about continuing the drives into the New Year!

Take a look back through the tour in photos over in the Darkroom, download or get yourself CD copies of the shows at www.livewidespreadpanic.com, and take a peek at the Live Oakland, CA HD Video Shoot that is quickly surfacing from the mid-October three-night run.

While the band takes a breather before the New Years run in Denver, you can catch a few of the band members on the road in the meantime. More than 60 musicians collaborate to create live jam album for charity

New Orleans-October 29 2010- The live recordings from Down on the Bayou II, a benefit concert for the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic (NOMC) and Assistance Foundation (NOMAF), are now available for download at Nugs.net

The recordings capture the collaboration of more than 60 musicians coming together as never before playing renditions of classic songs such as “Lawdy Miss Clawdy”, Robert Johnson’s “32-20 Blues”, Dr. John’s “Right Place Wrong Time”, “Turn On Your Love Light” and Ray Charles’ “I Got a Woman”. All proceeds from sales of the album benefit the New Orleans Musicians Assistance Foundation to support its vital Musicians’ Clinic (est. 1998).

The concert, which took place April 29, 2010 at the Howlin’ Wolf in New Orleans, Louisiana is the second annual benefit concert spearheaded by Widespread Panic keyboardist JoJo Hermann. “Down on the Bayou is an annual concert during Jazzfest that brings top musicians together to pay tribute to New Orleans and the contributions this city and its musicians have made to the music we make and love today. The New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic is a model for artist healthcare and we’re proud to support it,” explained JoJo.

The recordings of the performances that night found their way into the hands of multiple Grammy award-winning producer John Porter. Those musicians who donated their performances to benefit the Musicians’ Clinic include: Big Chief Bo Dollis, George Porter Jr., Widespread Panic, Bill Kreutzmann, Ivan Neville, members of The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Gov’t Mule, Big Sam, Luther Dickinson, Anders Osborne, Christine Ohlman and Jon Cleary, among others. 100% of the proceeds from Down on the Bayou Live will go to sustain America’s only comprehensive medical home for musicians.

The album will premiere on Nugs.net on the afternoon of October 29th.

The sixth in the series of two-track soundboard recordings, Porch Songs, is here! May 31st, 1996 was the band's first headlining performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO. Since then the band has gone on to sell out the venue 35 consecutive times, and left a very memorable mark on the historic venue.
