Q: What is the benefit of using Widespread Online Ticketing vs. Ticketmaster or any other ticket outlet?
A: Widespread online ticketing is a secure alternative for purchasing tickets online, and allows you to buy tickets directly from the band for cheaper fees and personalized service. We can’t always guarantee that You will receive the best seats, but the pre-sale tickets are pulled from the best available seats. If the seats you are looking for are not available for pre-sale you have the option to wait for the public on-sale. The ultimate point of WOT is to offer you another option for purchasing your tickets with lower service fees than other outlets.
Q: How does the band pick a set list?
A: At the beginning of each tour Garrie makes a master list of all the songs and laminates it. Each night before the show he marks the last 3 nights set lists in different colors. The band can see what has been played recently and then decide from there. This ritual is continued each night until they run out of songs.

Q: Can I tape the show?
A: Widespread Panic allows audio taping at almost every live performance. We believe that each Panic show offers a unique experience, and we want our fans to be able to share our live experience with others in the community. For that reason, we have decided to make things easier for tapers. For seated shows, where it has become difficult to secure the section of seats behind the soundboard, we've decided to let tapers tape from their seats. At general admission shows, we will allow taping behind the board as before (but not in the seats). In short:
General admission shows: tape from the taper section behind the soundboard.
Reserved seating shows: tape from your seat (mics at head level; please be considerate).
TAPING POLICY:
While most people in the taping community have been responsible and respectful, we have recently become very concerned about the increase in the number of people selling bootlegged recordings of our concerts. Commercial bootlegs have never been authorized and are not what we had in mind when we allowed, and even encouraged, our fans to tape, and they threaten the taping privileges of everyone. We also have been concerned about the large number of audiovisual recordings (DVDs, VHS tapes, etc.) being sold and distributed on the Internet and at shows. For this reason, we want to make our taping policy clear:
• Widespread Panic allows audio taping only. Under absolutely no circumstances is any videotaping or the trading of videos of the band allowed. In person or over the Internet.
• All recordings must be used for personal use or trading only. Selling or commercializing any recording is illegal and will force us to change our taping policy.
• The goal of allowing taping and trading has always been to foster a fan community. For that reason, we will not authorize the use of impersonal and anonymous Internet P2P software to share our recordings (e.g., Kazaa, Limewire, eDonkey). If you want to trade, use discussion-based download sites such as digitalpanic.org.
• Making copies of LiveWidespreadPanic.com downloads for others is a violation of our Taping Policy as well as federal and state copyright law
Thanks for adhering to these guidelines. Helping us to fight bootleggers will protect taping rights for everyone. If you ever see our music being used in any way that you think violates our policy, please notify show security immediately and let us know by e-mail or fax, and don't forget to provide the date, time, and location. With your help we can stop this infringement. We can be reached by e-mail at mail@widespreadpanic.com or by fax at [to come].
Q: Can I sell Merchandise at the show?
A: For many years now Widespread Panic & Brown Cat, Inc. have made a generous effort to work with the fans, in & out of the parking lot, in regards to bootleg merchandise and the items for sale that stem from the band and it's music. Unfortunately, the requests made, which we had hoped would help preserve the small salesman in the lot supporting him or herself from show to show, have been completely ignored. Coupled with an influx of PROFESSIONAL bootleggers (those who are carrying not 1 or 2 cases of Ts, but 20 or 30); problems with city & county officials due to lack of vending licenses; and clear violations of the use of the band's name and copyrighted material, the sale of non-sanctioned items pertaining to Widespread Panic including, but not limited to, name, likeness, lyrics, or anything deemed to be intellectual property of Widespread Panic, will no longer be allowed in or around a concert site.
This is a very unfortunate situation we have arrived at, and this decision has not been easy nor was it arrived at without arduous discussions over the years. We do want the Panic community to survive & thrive and have no intention of shutting down the party. Band representatives work very hard with local law and venue security each day to ensure that everyone has a safe and good time without a lot of problems, please remember they're on your side and here for you.
At each show local information will be distributed at the gates. Please read and take seriously the ordinances regarding other vending, general show & venue information. Please check door / gate times & give yourself enough time to get into your seat when the show starts. The show will start on time. Make your after show plans early! Parking lots will generally be closing down 30 - 45 minutes after the show.
The sale of nitrous oxide is strictly prohibited. N2O cuts off the flow of oxygen to your brain. Countless medical emergencies occur from it, including death. If you purchase N2O you are likely supporting people who care nothing about the Panic community. While state to state the laws covering Nitrous Oxide vary, there are clear mandates by the Food & Drug Administration under the Health & Cosmetics act that address distribution and they will be enforced on our tours.
Q: Can I maintain a fan website?

mail@widespreadpanic.com if you want to use some of our material.
